About

Two years ago, I embarked on a project titled "Where is a Place for Me to Sleep in Peace?" inspired by the unfortunate events of the Coup d'état in Myanmar. During that time, finding a peaceful night's sleep seemed like an unattainable dream. The constant fear of being arrested by the authorities, the uncertainty of bombs dropping while we were asleep, and the loss of safety and security deeply impacted our lives. This series aimed to shed light on the struggles we faced, capturing the challenges of finding respite amidst chaos. Today, it continues to break my heart to witness people still enduring these hardships, living in a constant state of fear, and lacking a safe space to sleep peacefully. Unfortunately, this plight often goes unnoticed by those living in more secure environments, who remain blissfully unaware of the realities of our troubled world. Reflecting on the struggles faced by humans, I was compelled to broaden the scope of my project. I began to contemplate the challenges faced by other living beings, particularly marine and aerial animals, who suffer greatly due to the pollution caused by plastics. So, I decided to extend the series to include these creatures, aiming to raise awareness about the difficulties they encounter in finding a place to sleep free from harm.
