We accept only original artworks that you have created yourself. This includes art, music, or any other materials that reflect your unique vision. All elements within your work — such as music, fonts, and images — must be created by you, licensed for commercial use, or in the public domain.
What You Can Upload
To keep CIFRA a platform for genuine creativity, we define original as work free from plagiarism and unauthorized third-party material. If you use AI-generated elements, you must hold the rights to use them. For derivative works like remixes or adaptations, your piece must include transformative creativity and fully comply with copyright laws.
What Rights You Keep
You do. You retain full copyright and complete control over everything you upload. By uploading your work, you grant CIFRA a license to host and promote it, but you are never giving up your ownership.
How We Share Your Work
When you upload your art, you grant CIFRA a specific license to operate the platform. It is:
- Perpetual, but revocable: The license remains in effect indefinitely but ends if you delete your artwork. While we will stop using it for future promotions, existing social media posts may remain until manually removed.
- Non-exclusive: You are free to license and sell your artwork elsewhere. CIFRA does not demand exclusivity.
- Royalty-free: CIFRA operates on a subscription-based model. Your earnings come from a pool of user subscription revenue, distributed based on engagement (such as views), not per-use royalties.
CIFRA may feature your artwork in our promotional channels, which include our website, social media, newsletters, and ads. This helps share your work with a wider audience but it does not constitute an endorsement, partnership, or paid sponsorship. We may format or crop your work to fit different platforms (such as Instagram Stories) but we will never alter the original file you uploaded to CIFRA.
Your name will always be displayed with your artwork on the platform, in our promotions, and in its metadata, unless you choose to remain anonymous.
CIFRA is designed for personal, private enjoyment only. If you are interested in streaming artwork in a public or commercial setting — such as a gallery, hotel, or café — please reach out to us at support@cifra.com to discuss licensing options.
For any other use outside the platform — including advertising, videos, or your own creative projects — you must contact the artist directly to request permission. All artworks on CIFRA are the property of the artists who created them, and we are committed to protecting their rights.
