72 SPINS AROUND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER

Tatyana Sherstyuk's project "72 SPINS AROUND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER" was included to 8th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art. The artist is testing contemporary magical rituals, descriptions of which were found online. The results of these creative experiments are showcased as exhibits for the exhibition.

RITUAL#2

“THE RIGHT DIRECTION”

The first and one of the most important actions you need to take is buying a pair of men’s shoes. Approach this with great care. The right choice of shoes is the foundation of the upcoming ritual.

Find a way to discuss with the shoes every detail you desire about the future partner’s appearance and personality: age, height, weight, eye color, hair color, nose shape, body type, character traits, zodiac sign, profession, and hobbies.

At midnight on the third day, slightly open the front door of your home, get down on all fours, place your hands into the shoes with the toes facing inside the house, and "enter" the room wearing the shoes, while reciting a spell.
