72 SPINS AROUND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER

Tatyana Sherstyuk's project "72 SPINS AROUND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER" was included to the 8th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art. The artist is testing contemporary magical rituals, descriptions of which were found online. The results of these creative experiments are showcased as exhibits for the exhibition.

RITUAL #1

72 SPINS AROUND THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER

There are several types of funnels: "For Attraction," "For Retention," "For Accumulation," and "For Business." The "For Attraction" funnel is designed to bring a worthy man into your life — by spinning in a whirlwind according to all the rules, you signal to the cosmos that you are ready to accept a deserving man.

The rules of spinning from the group "All About Women's Power Funnels" claim that this exercise has been around for many centuries. Here’s what you need to do to connect with the cosmos:

1. Enter the energy flow: On the exhale, raise your arms to the sides and bring your palms together above your head. On the inhale, lower your joined palms to chest level. While holding your breath, without separating your palms, turn them downwards and lower them to the "center of passion" (located four fingers below the navel).
2. Form the funnel: Mentally focus energy in the "center of passion."
3. On the exhale, separate your palms and raise your arms upwards, slightly bending your elbows. Spin clockwise. 
4. Express gratitude and mentally close the space. This is important because you will need to "go on air" more than once.

But the question remains: what kind of men will such a ritual attract? Men are strictly divided into castes: the more successful the man, the more spins are needed.
