This video is a special edition of "D.X.M. - Deus Ex Machina," created exclusively for my nomination for the Italian digital art VDA Award 2023, endorsed by VAR Group and curated by Rebecca Pedrazzi. "Deus Ex Machina | Liquid Dream" represents the harmonious convergence of dual AI forces, transcending dystopian narratives. It fosters a profound union between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Artistic Intelligence (AI), creating a compositing piece that reimagines traditional boundaries. This artwork redefines AI + glitches, sparking innovation and growth while challenging conventional constraints. It orchestrates a symphony of coexistence where machines become collaborators, shifting our perspective from artistic tools to partners in crime. The resulting imagery blends AI-generated elements with human ingenuity, erasing the lines between creator and creation. We come one. Driven by insatiable curiosity, this project delves into AI-generated imagery, intricately weaving AI-driven text-to-image systems like Midjourney for the still image graphic parts with machine learning AI via StyleGAN for the animations. The result is a captivating dance of AI creativity where the five mesmerising AI video loops enhance the AI's futuristic scenography. The loops undergo further transformation through glitch art databending, converting digital video into audio crafted with random and unstable imperfection using Audacity and FFMPEG. The video loops are also turned into AI sound and masterfully composed by Sound Designer Guido Molea to expand the auditory dimension of the artwork. "DXM | Liquid Dream" beckons viewers to embrace fresh narratives and possibilities. It showcases the synergy of artistic prowess and computational experimentation, delivering an innovative, boundary-blurring experience. This masterpiece celebrates the union of AI and artistic intuition—a testament to the limitless creative potential of the intricate dance between humans and machines. 🧠👁️🧬🌐⚡
