About

"The Story of Nanka Gulu and Iron Hawk" is a fictional story that revolves around an escaped intelligent drone. The drone flees from a modern factory in search of ancient wisdom. Nanka Gulu adopts the drone and names it Diemo, which signifies "initial awareness". Throughout the film, the perspective shifts to that of the drone, accompanied by electronic signals and a voicemail message that is never answered, creating a sense of detached awareness. The subtitles in the film, "Who is here? Who is watching?" are directed at the audience, aiming to awaken their presence and awareness, just as the intelligent drone in the film suddenly awakens and reconnects with nature. Through this narrative, the artist metaphorically reflects on the loss and the necessity of returning to nature amidst the disorientation of virtual information-driven lives. short film, HD2080P, 14min, 2021; Special Thanks: Slat Projects, Dinawanisland
