Offset.Aura.Compiled

The Offset.Aura series explores the visual and perceptual phenomenon produced through the combination of complimentary colors. The work compels observation through its slow shift in colors, simultaneously allowing the phenomenon to unfold. The illusions produced by the different color pairings oscillate between harmonious and conflicting. The accompanying synthesized sound bridges these binaries, setting a tone for the experience.

The original version of Offset.Aura took the form of a webpage, built with HTML5, CSS3, and an MP3 file; it scaled and adapted to the viewport it was experienced with; and looped infinitely. Offset.Aura.Compiled reimagines the experience in the form of a widescreen video piece.
