About
The artworks used to create this film were (legally) stolen from the Getty Museum. Dex Hannon, usually known for remixing his own creations, turns his attention here to the Getty’s Open Source collection. These found works become raw material — cut, spliced, overlaid, and digitally manipulated into a single, evolving film sequence. Hannon works in what he calls a "randomly collaborative" way — allowing chance and instinct to guide his interaction with the original art. His practice is one of constant reinvention, asking not just what is this? but what else could it be? The film is not the end-point. It’s only part of the process. The music is sksm - arttheft
