Inspired by the mystical experiences of St. Teresa of Avila (1515-1582), this piece relates the inner journey from the loneliness of the soul to the revival of the mystical Passion and Ascension.
The music and the color processing have been created by the director and editor, in order to blend in this chiaroscuro style, where the characters emerge and evolve in a boundless dark universe.
The music uses the singing voice and string instruments that are not clearly linked to any period, but using a harmonic language that is reminiscent of the period of Teresa of Avila.
