Amulet Of Sweat

Australian composer and performer Lisa Lerkenfeldt presents a hyperreal film collaboration with animator Tristan Jalleh associated with a study in classical dynamics, acoustic mirrors and transportive timbres ‘Amulet of Sweat.’

Set in abandoned infrastructure the film explores a hyperreal performance site between reality and dream.

Drawing from Lerkenfeldt’s field work and electroacoustic practices, piano vignettes and tape loop arrangements light up lost chambers and underground histories in a patchwork of reflective musique concrète, instrumental composition and surreal cinema. 

The full album ‘Halos of Perception’ released on Shelter Press (France) in November, 2023.
