2016 No audio. Intended for play as a loop. The video work O was first exhibited as a projection as part of the group show "Spaces are as important as the words", at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. Artist statement from that exhibition: To say “as important as the words” implies the privilege of words. Words are mere constructs that, like thought and forms, punctuate and populate space, ephemeral like clouds in the sky. Similarly, artworks could be seen as fabrications, products of a state of mind and body, the relative mind of language and concepts. As visual language, they complement, or may surpass, words, but perhaps remain constructs in space nonetheless. What is there when there are no words, thoughts and forms, but only awareness? How does an absolute mind of no conceptualisation manifest? What remains when there are no clouds?
