SYN

SYN is an audiovisual work that explores the perception mechanisms of our brain through immersion in a sound world and a 360-degree visual environment. 

Recent neuroscience research has highlighted the mechanisms that our brain activates when faced with unexpected, incomplete or ambiguous stimuli (e.g. when observing a work of abstract art). These stimuli provoke the involvement of the viewer who is called upon to contribute with his or her own creativity to the completion of the work, which becomes a personal experience, a journey into one's own mind.

The work, between video art and digital visual art, is specifically produced for a 360 degree projection (full dome hemispherical surface) and the original soundtrack (between electronic music and sound design) becomes a generative component for the visual part, amplifying the synaesthetic experience.
