About

The ›infinite fest‹ collection shows a fictional magical place where the boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurred. Here we can immerse ourselves in a mysterious and desirable world. The brightly painted statues, dolls, marionettes, hybrids of fairy tale and animal figures have been brought to life and, in their independence, also illustrate the dark side of the play instinct, which is often characterized by power, hierarchy and violence. What would these toys without limits actually want to do? What role models would they have? The world of people? Which world? The world of the surface or a deeper, psychologically hidden underworld? What if conventional rules no longer apply at all? Isn't what numerous private worlds, clubs, rooms, etc. offer an alternative playground - usually FSK 18? The images of these scenes show how the dolls and toys break all the rules imposed on them during the day. They let themselves go. The dolls and toys rebel against their role as passive objects of children's imagination and become actors in their own stories, but always guided by pop culture or ancient image tradition. They smoke, drink, swear, love, argue, laugh, cry, dance, fight and dream. They show their wishes, fears, joys and sufferings. They are sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, sometimes shocking, sometimes touching. Almost like gods. ›infinite fest‹ is a challenge for those who want to reflect on their own childhood and their relationship with dolls and toys. ›infinite fest‹ is also a tribute to the power of imagination and the inner beauty of play, its gestures, poses and spontaneity. caohom.com/infinite-fest
