About
from the album ASLOPE released on V I S June 2024 https://v-i-s.bandcamp.com/album/aslope Music and Video by Nika Son ...Trinsar Gobble was one of those tracks, that went through several morphs over time, only the drums creeping in were set from the beginning and in a way dictated the dramaturgy. The video only came when the album had already been finished and, unlike the track, was made quite fast. From one of my accumulating folders of material, I had this shot of the container wall passing by... For me, the tags rushing past are like moving notation, words and letters that appear like codes, enigmas that you can't grasp but which you try to interpret. Just like scraps of memory and strange apparitions that emerge and disappear again - some threatening, others familiar. Playing with de-constructed language and shifted intonations is something I experiment a lot in my music, and also appears in Trinsar Gobble.
