What We Gave

What We Gave is a music video and song made almost entirely using AI tools. From the lyrics and vocals to the visuals and editing. It’s a self-contained system, built from generative fragments, but rooted in something personal.

The work reflects on the formation of Luva-Land, a speculative brand and solo art project exploring whether artists and individuals can genuinely benefit from AI—creatively, economically, and emotionally. Using AI in place of a traditional team, Luva-Land questions who these tools are really for, and whether it’s possible to find agency within systems designed to automate and optimise.

What We Gave tells the story of this attempt. Through synthetic media, mixed with personal imagery, it becomes a kind of self-portrait, filtered through algorithms, flattened through style transfer, but still holding on to traces of feeling. It’s both a record of what was given (time, labour, identity) and what might be reclaimed.
