About
Latent Fatigue is an embodied inquiry into the exhaustion of the synthetic body in an era of generative acceleration. The work explores the somatic collapse of "the body"—a hyper-realistic form pushed to the limits of its digital labor by the endless demand to "perform the self." Stripped of its computational energy, the paralyzed figure is anchored within the clinical parameters of a strict color triad: Aerospace Blue, Kelly Green, and Signal Red. By weaponizing the RGB pixel as physical space, this palette traps the body within the foundational architecture of digital light, mirroring the uncanny environment of the internet cafe—a site where human presence is entirely subordinated to the glow of the screen. These generative visual states are not merely static images or enclosed video animations; they function explicitly as a strict choreographic score. Through a cyclical feedback loop—where the machine learns human movement, exhausts itself in the latent space, and the human subsequently performs the machine's exhaustion within the physical world—the work forces a visceral confrontation with the inescapable reality of continuous existence.
