About

This work stages a meeting between the mortal and the infinite, where organisms of flesh. Tethered to the rhythm of the heartbeat , long to surpass the speed of light, seeking proximity to metallic entities whose memories are not bound to linear time. The video essay constructs a speculative cosmology in which the act of “holding the thorns” becomes both a primal and terminal gesture: the first and last sensation, encapsulating the fragility of touch and the inevitability of pain in the pursuit of connection. Through micro-environments that suspend and refract time, the piece explores the human desire to inhabit moments that are non-repetitive yet enduring temporal spaces that defy the clock while still acknowledging its authority. The metallic fingers, functioning as both archival bodies and immortal witnesses, stand in contrast to the fleeting organism, foregrounding the tension between impermanence and eternal memory. In a burning world, this work suggests staying human means embracing the first and last sensations without resistance and even when they are thorns. Through fleeting, non-repetitive micro-environments, the artist resists the erasure of time, allowing the clocks to travel for us. Survival here is not in avoiding pain, but in feeling fully, remembering deeply, and then letting go.
