About

Love Letter To My Painting Dream (2026) was developed during a three-month period in Siena, where I lived and worked alongside the young artist Nela Sára Uhlová. During that time, she was facing a deep creative block and felt disconnected from painting and from herself. At the end of the semester, Nela decided to burn a significant part of the paintings she had created during that time. Through fire she confronted a period of stillness and attempted to reclaim her creative freedom. The video uses her text and approaches the burning as an intimate, transformative process rather than a destructive event. It reflects on the fragile line between creation and destruction, and questions the necessity of permanence in artistic practice.
