About
Latent Sea: Dive Log is an essay film structured as a diving log. Using “diving” as a metaphor, the work frames image generation as a way of thinking that unfolds through latency. The deep sea functions as a latent space shaped by algorithms, data, and perception, where images appear and fade in a continuous computational descent. As the film moves forward, the melting of ice, interruptions in data, and the operations of the machine run side by side, marking the irreversible traces of time. Looping paths, unarchived fragments, and asynchronous rhythms give rise to a non-linear order. Here, the future takes shape through ongoing technological involvement, remaining in a constant state of becoming.
