The project takes as its basis the theme of the autoimmune condition of body disease as a metaphor for the planetary crisis/slow apocalypse, and the desire to overcome it as well. When an “immunological attack” of politics aimed at “protecting” national and geopolitical borders, to exterminate competition and maximize production and consumption, leads to an apocalyptic state of ecology, humanitarian and political crisis. Autoimmunity in the project also serves as the concept of multiple entities in one body (i.e. (a)body immunity that attacks (b)cells body) and marks the agreement not to be the only creature in oneself. From here the idea develops into a more global theme of building kinship with conventional viruses and non-human agents as an act of anarchy that may point the way to a more radical ecological concept of life beyond human exceptionalism and conventional concepts of the body, that is, to a utopian queer future and ecology. Utopia and an alternative world that are born after the “end of the world”, like the body of an insect dies and is reborn from the same materia. It marks hope for the future, based on understanding the past and is based on survival in present.
