Artwork Type: Interactive Video Installation Materials: Data collection modules, graphic generation software, touch devices Dimensions: Variable Creation Year: 2023 This special edition of the artwork was commissioned by the National Centre for the Performing Arts “Emotional Theater” is a series of artistic experimental projects by artist Fei Jun in collaboration with psychologist Liu Zhengkui. This interdisciplinary project explores the integration of art and technology in psychological healing. For this special edition commissioned by the National Centre for the Performing Arts, musicians such as Xiao Ying, Xue Tingzhe, Cheng Hongyu, Rainer Granzin, and Ólafur Arnalds have also been invited as co-creators. The work uses artificial intelligence and emotional computing technology to detect and present the emotions of the audience. It generates a personalized, healing audio-visual theater experience for each viewer based on their unique emotional state. The experience fosters positive psychological effects, guiding participants from emotional awareness and transformation to acceptance.
