About
In an alternative future Indonesia, where nuclear technology has advanced to the point of generating an artificial sun as a source of endless energy, a lazy philosopher, Sajad Ali, wanders around in search of a place to sleep. Told through a semi-essayistic approach, the work follows Sajad Ali as he reflects on the future dynamics of nuclear technology, the politics of materiality through the search for minerals such as thorium in Indonesia, and the complexities of the nuclear question in the tropics, particularly its tensions with ecology, energy consumption, the nation-state, and productivity.
