Always Ready

Video art commissioned by Cinema Queer Stockholm 2025 on the theme "Always Ready," exploring the culture of Scouting in Sweden. The footage was generated using AI software Dreamina, sourced from my childhood photos on my Young Pioneer certificate. Drawing on my own memories of being a "Young Pioneer" in China, I set them alongside the Scouting experience — the joy and the pain, the rain and the sunlight — feelings that we, as queer people, know how to share. Because in the end, we must grow into the people we want to become. And fly, just as we once imagined.
