Alive, a body locked in the cold of a reflective surface. The face is hidden from us by a curtain of hair. Hair is a symbol of women and an important fetish for men. But here they do not seduce, but hide the gaze, the suffering. In this sterile environment with hyper-realistic objects, the plastic performance of choreographer Maya Popova provokes the viewer, expressively invading his territory, frightening and evoking compassion at the same time.
Victoria often works in the genre of improvised video performance, simultaneously as an author, set designer, cameraman, and editor of her films and installations.
