About

We Share the Table is a pop-up installation that begins as a real event and ends as a phantom. A charcuterie spread - cured meats, cheeses, fruits, crackers, honey - is assembled from ingredients sourced from different places and supply chains, arranged into a composition that exists as a unified whole for only a few hours. The audience is invited to eat. Each bite dismantles the table. As participants take pieces away, the physical composition breaks apart in real time - not through decay or mechanical force, but through the ordinary social act of sharing a meal. What was a collective presence becomes individual memory, carried away in fragments by each person who was there. What remains after the table has been emptied is its AI-generated afterimage: a visual reconstruction of the original arrangement produced through the Concurrentix methodology, where the source image is recursively fragmented and regenerated until it can be reassembled from its own derivatives. The physical food is gone. The ghost persists - visually intact but materially hollow. The table becomes an image of itself, a record of a gathering that can no longer be verified by what was actually on it. The work animates the transition from shared physical presence to dispersed digital trace, staged as a single irreversible event.
