About

The Silver Singularity is an ongoing UBERMORGEN project originally developed for the Busan Biennale 2024. Combining installation, websites, synthetic media and speculative narrative, the project traces the consequences of a hidden rupture in reality known as the Silver Singularity. Strada Sbagliata returns to the origin event: the death of Carlo Giuliani during the G8 protests in Genoa on 20 July 2001. Combining AI-generated music, lyrics and imagery, the video follows the moment in which a single bullet opens the Silver Singularity and the world takes a wrong turn. As part of the project, UBERMORGEN travelled to Genoa to collect traces, artefacts and field recordings from locations connected to the events of July 2001. These materials form the basis of the installation and continue to circulate through the project in transformed form. The police siren heard in Strada Sbagliata, for example, originates from recordings made in Genoa during this research process.
