Soy Dreams (dream 2)

SOY DREAMS questions the dreams and desires of the non-human actors “fish”. 
The multimedia installation envisions neon-colored soy sauce "fish" scattered across a sand dune reminiscent of an archaeological dig.
Glowing under black light of a techno-capitalist dreamscape, these synthetic creatures long for a “natural” past they never knew.
Screens scattered across the sand make the dreams of the soy fish visible. They display 3D renderings, AI generated and real footage, of fish life. In the digital sphere, the fish dream of being natural fish—of a materiality they never had.
