The raven is a complex symbol that, in Western culture, is often associated with death and evil; however, in other traditions, it represents vitality and knowledge. According to ancient beliefs, the raven is considered a messenger between the world of dreams and the waking world, symbolizing wisdom and the pursuit of truth during the day, and mystery and transformation at night. In this sense, the raven in my short film plays the role of the familiar of my alter ego, Zosia Metel, who is entrusted with the task of being the spokesperson for my doppelgänger, narrating a tale of nightmares and dreams from my childhood.
