In exploring the interplay between anonymity, privacy and the digital image. Blurring ceases to be a means of concealing one’s identity and becomes, instead, visual evidence of the loss of control over one’s own bodily image, whilst anonymity is revealed as a dual mechanism that simultaneously protects and reproduces intimacy. The work questions a person’s right to control their own image in an era of endless digital copying, distribution and archiving.
