Enter the Plastocene @ ARTLAB Gleis 1

"Enter the Plastocene" 6-channel AR video installation by Tamiko Thiel and /p. In the premiere showing of "Enter the Plastocene", we put a tunnel under the Regensburg train station - the art space ARTLAB Gleis 1 - virtually underwater, and lined the tunnel with real plastic garbage. The walls, ceiling and floor of the tunnel were illuminated by 6 projections of an underwater reef composed of (virtual) plastic garbage. Through the tunnel swam (virtual) colorful reef fish and their plastic counterparts: bottles, forks, spoons, flip flops ...
