A film by Neil Luck & Adam de a Cour 5 friends venture into the woods on a sunny November afternoon and engage in a series of strange, rigorous, actions. Eyes and ears are plugged, eyelids are blinked, foliage is corrupted, grapes are eaten, music is made. Designed partly as a practical guide for viewers to replicate this journey, these ‘sensible activities’ could be seen as tiny performances or compositions to awake new, rustic perceptions. His work takes a range of forms from music-theatre, to concert works, radio, public projects and recordings. He is the founder and director of the music-theatre ensemble ARCO; an experimental music-theatre company. Adam de la Cour is a multifaceted artist known for his work in film, composition, and performance, characterised by elements of absurdism and dark humour. His unique style has been described by The Wire magazine as "...a bizarre and often hilarious fusion of music...with the aesthetics of cult, psychotronic cinema.”
