Waiting for a Fair Wind

During his journey to the East, Marco Polo visited several sites along the Mediterranean coast, though the exact routes and cities remain undocumented. Only tales of magical Mediterranean locales discovered by Marco Polo have survived. The recently discovered previously unknown notes of Marco Polo have filled this historical gap. These writings detail a wondrous place where he spent several days waiting for a fair wind.
From Marco Polo's notes: "Here, people subsist on the sea's bounty. Mornings are foggy, and the sunsets are dark golden. Here, ancient myths revive. Legends claim that at dawn and dusk, where the sky meets the water, one can see winged creatures. But only those who believe in miracles can see them".
Today, little has changed at this mystical site. The mornings are still foggy and the sunsets are golden. In the morning mist and the evening light, one can spot sea foragers and, with enough imagination, winged beings.
