Hej Ho

Animation HEJ-HO by Monika Mamzeta was created in year 2006. 
One minute long, looped movie shows a pregnant women spelling the first stanza and a 22-weeks old fetus spelling the refrain of Polish national anthem. The artist introduced minor modifications to the wording of Dąbrowski’s Mazurka. The loose translation of it might be:
Poland is not yet lost
While we live
We will fight for all
That our enemies had taken from us.

March, march Dąbrowski
From mother’s womb to Poland
Under your command
We will reunite with the nation.
