A Man is a Gun a Woman The Bullet (2022) is a composite of two VHS pornos mixed in real time. Though no nudity is presented--only suggested through your viewership. To what extent can the graphic mind fill the graphic detail when deliberating a medium’s purpose as either eroticism or pornography? Must we not deliberate the notions on which each of the genre’s conventions are constructed? And in what culture? At the hand of which—right or left? To what extent is pornography a static text and not an intention? Why must the man be the gun, the woman a bullet, the man to be the one who pulls it. ︎ Music by Peter John Ross
