Mixed Reality, AI-3D This work derives from the stone sculptures in Chinese garden art, and is a reinterpretation of these sculptures through AI-generated 3D artifacts. The Chinese character "砼" is a newly created character from the mid-20th century, specifically referring to man-made stone that doesn't exist in nature. Similarly, AI-generated 3D artifacts can be seen as non-existent 3D models. The concept of "象" (symbol or form) unfolds within this ambiguous realm of reality and illusion. The English title is prefixed with the Sanskrit term "Animitta" (meaning "without form"), aiming to create an intertextual dialogue with the Chinese notion of symbolic representation. The term "insight" is used to denote the mixed reality experience within the work (a model in space that can be penetrated, creating a synesthetic experience of sound), striving for a perceptual engagement with AI-generated 3D artifacts, thereby contemplating the "existence" of such "objects."
