The futurists admired the industrial revolution. They dreamed that humans would merge with the machine. Today, people are using machines to create new digital art forms. The Dadaists were the first to create absurd performance art. Performances are based on scenarios given by the artist, the result of which is not always predictable. Today the artist uses an algorithm as a script which he puts into a computer program and creates a digital masterpiece. The Surrealists developed the ideas of the Dadaists and opened the way to the irrational world. Digital art forms have expanded our possibilities beyond the real world into the virtual world. The time capsules created by the curator of the Venice Biennale inspired us to remember those who gave the impetus for the future of digital art. This playlist attempts to sit in a "time machine" and imagine what an unnamed curator's playlist would have looked like if the CIFRA platform had existed 100 years ago
