Benjamin Ramírez Pérez (*1988) studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne from 2010 to 2015. 2016 - 2018 he was a fellow at de Ateliers Amsterdam. His works have been screened at IFFR Rotterdam, Locarno, TIFF, Oberhausen, Visions du Réel and Julia Stoschek Collection, among others. In 2013 he was awarded the German Film Critics Award for Best Experimental Short Film. He had solo exhibitions at Artothek Cologne and Gallery Markus Lüttgen, Düsseldorf. He is currently working on his first feature film „Life Is About Losing Everything“, which he co-directs with his brother Stefan Ramírez Pérez.
