PAVILIONS OF MEMORY - The Film - is a single-channel film about Memory / The Punctum & Studium as Rolad Barthes depicts in his book Camera Lucida. It is also the ever-changing content is an interactive / practicable multi-media installation of the same title. The film was designed to be placed in a SYSTEM & a coded machine that processed the film in conjunction with the interaction of the audience, creating endless possibilities and realities with different perception / variables and therefore outcomes. It was always already began (Like Derrida said) , Representation, therefore has no end. The film mostly depicts the last century and the colossal impact it has had on the consciousness of humanity, making both personal and collective memories a dynamic maze of memories, Mandela effects and other impact on how we see the world , how we imagine the Neural cinemas , how it impacts neuroplasticity , what our minds choose to remember, and how it changes us forever. The film has two parts, one that is narrated, and the second that is exprienced. Sound, music, and cultural history play an important factor in these representations. The film was screened with the installation as part of the AI. BETWEEN HUMOUR, FEAR & UTOPIA , invited & curated by GLUON.be / Bozar LAB, in March 2018 at Maison Shaughnessy, The CCA - Montreal-Canada.
