About

Parallax is a sculptural installation based on a sequence of heads arranged in a closed, circular composition. Each form is a subtly modified version of the same head — the differences are minimal, almost imperceptible when still. Yet, as the viewer moves, the whole begins to “come alive”: the successive forms create the illusion of animation, as if the sculpture itself were moving through time. The work explores the relationship between movement and perception, suggesting that the experience of change does not have to rely on technology — it can be a purely physical, bodily effect. The title refers to the phenomenon of parallax — the shift in perception of the same object depending on the point of view — serving as a metaphor for how individuality, identity, and humanity reveal themselves only when we shift perspective and engage attentively with subtle differences.
