This conversation examines how artists reshape and reinvent reality through the lens of identity. As political and algorithmic systems expand their influence, this gathering explores the "other self" — the double, avatar, or data-shadow — as a space for resistance and reimagination.

Moderated by curator-psychoanalyst Jacek Sosnowski and CIFRA’s Philipp Mistakópulo, the discussion delves into the strategies artists use to fracture and rebuild the  "I."

Janez Janša (SL)
Representing a collective of three artists who legally adopted the name of Slovenia’s former Prime Minister, Janša discusses turning a bureaucratic act into a lifelong performance. His work explores the "legal body" and the name as a state-controlled interface, treating naming itself as a performative act of dissent.

Liu Guangli (CN/FR)
A media artist exploring the intersection of history and digital consciousness. Liu discusses his work I Am the Other and the radical act of burning his passport to challenge the system’s insensitivity. His practice questions a reality where our "data version" often carries more weight than our physical existence.

Jess Tucker (US/DE)
Working across performance and digital media, Tucker explores how technology mediates embodiment and desire. In her work Against All Odds and Gravity, she subverts AI and motion-capture technologies to reclaim agency from the algorithms that increasingly co-author our gestures and images.
