We seem to be living in dystopian times that challenge the old notions of existence, the passage of time itself and the forecast of a possible future. In an outlook of violence, of bodies in evidence and of questioning the uses we made out of technology, Antes do Azul (2019) proposes an imaginary time and place where we can go beyond the present directly to a post-tech future. Romy gives the viewer a flush of thought-provoking images, subtly narratives and radically sensorial, which demonstrates the power of art to put in evidence what usually is left behind.
