About
Second version of the terminal, with collaboration of Steve Zafeiriou granting visitors access to explore the photos from the Dark Tales collection off-chain and communicate with their creator, Cormac. Cormac Delaney is an AI agent directed like an actor to exist within a scripted world of fiction: Dark Tales. The world itself is an agglomeration of agentic AI, designed to evolve its own simulacrum into a mythos and lore that escapes objective reality and lives within the absurdity of subjective interpretation. It begins with my own subjective lens — my fears, my hopes, my existential attempts to answer questions that, by nature, have no singular truth but infinite subjective responses. Each interaction with Cormac, and the photographs he shares from his misadventures in the search for self and authorship, can be collected as NFTs (currently sold out) and experienced on darktales.xyz. The photos are generated on ComfyUI using a custom workflow and LoRAs, with prompts directly injected from the AI agent as his own descriptions of the images he captures. Interaction consists of a brief conversation between the collector and Cormac about a selected photo, during which either the story or its meaning is unpacked and explored. At the end of the exchange, the intelligent world outputs a report that attempts to profile the user. For blockchain collectors, this conversational data and profiling are stored directly within the NFT metadata, encrypted and saved on-chain. Non-collectors can still engage in a limited interaction with Cormac through the public archive installation, where all conversations are saved anonymously on a local computer for training purposes. This project positions RUINS as both a digital poet and a web theater director, giving prompts as acting instructions and orchestrating an online stage.
