About
"Agua de luna" documents an intervention carried out at the bottom of the largest crater in the Valley of the Meteorites, located in the oasis of Quillagua (Atacama). By using a material that reflects sunlight and the blue of the sky, Elisa Balmaceda creates a sort of mirage or pool, alluding to the possible origins of the crater and to various phenomena specific to the desert—such as soil exploration and the depletion of water resources in the Atacama region.
