About

In the second half of the 18th century, humans ascended and traveled through Earth's atmosphere for the first time thanks to the hot air balloon. Since then, observing the Earth from above has become increasingly common, leading, in our time, to the development of a true space tourism industry, continuously pushing the boundaries of human exploration. The Atmosphere installation interacts with the environment, particularly addressing the theme of sustainability and the impact of carbon dioxide emissions, one of the main challenges of our century. The artwork engages with CO₂ emission data collected from a network of marble processing companies, monitored by Maxfone to optimize their production processes. The video interprets and translates the abstract movements of gas into visual stimuli through a digital form that, when placed in its original context, transforms and moves, altering its structure until it takes on anthropomorphic sound characteristics. Although we tend to look beyond the atmosphere in search of new worlds to explore, it is important to remember that there are more trees than stars in our galaxy.
