About

Last work of the Reformed A.I. project cycle which, in addition to various other significant aspects, is characterized by the artistic reuse of artificial intelligences part of our daily lives as well as in the military field, in order to avoid the training of similar intelligences from scratch (given that the training process is particularly wasteful of energy and water as well as linked to large CO2 emissions). The artist states: I believe that it is the duty of artists to always opt for the most ecological technical choices and this does not only apply to physical materials but also to digital ones, we are used to seeing works of art created with recycled materials but this sensitivity must also touch those who work on computers and if to obtain a certain behavior in one of my environments I can use (transforming it) an already trained and available intelligence why should I ever create or have one created from scratch? CYBER-ONIRIC BIOMA is a sensitive and interactive 3D environment that intends to reflect on the complex relationships between humanity and nature as well as on the boundary between the concepts of natural and artificial, trying to move within a perspective within which to work for a society that is capable of being equally technological and ecological. Users find themselves catapulted into a virtual ecosystem in which actors halfway between the animal and the digital participate in movements and flows endowed with choreographic and pictorial values: through the use of simulation algorithms and artificial intelligences reused and reformed ad hoc a range of behaviors is generated that tends towards the infinite, with all of this you can interact via a wireless touch pad, placed in the center of the installation, which can scan the 3D environment at 360 degrees as well as emit sound phrases obtained through a tonal randomization algorithm of some musical phrases inserted by the artist with synthesizers and an electric guitar.
