About

"Simple Guide to Totalitarian Alchemy" (2024) is a media installation that combines video, sculpture, found objects, and printing on fabric. Central to the project is a "Cut-up" approach that deconstructs and reconfigures the monumental architecture of the Soviet 1930s, cutting it up to reveal the hidden mechanisms of control embedded in its grandiose forms. The installation presents the viewer with a vision of totalitarianism as a loop—an unbreakable cycle/loop of power, repression, and linguistical control. Through this repetitive structure and, the project delves into the alchemical process of societal manipulation, where symbols, media, and bodies are constantly refined and weaponized to maintain a rigid, closed system of control.
