WTFish Wonderland Series responds to Social Amnesia; the collective forgetting of our cultural memory. Through the conceptual framework of ‘Human Imaginates, AI Hallucinates,’ the work engages in Mythopoesis, transforming Southeast Asia’s vanishing pasar basah (wet markets) into a seductive, absurd hyperreality. Rather than attempting to preserve the pasar basah, this work utilises the machine's hallucinations to deliberately expose the voids in our heritage, substituting decaying reality with the glossier myth. To fully experience this ritual of forgetting, viewers are invited to scan hidden QR codes embedded within the video. These spatial portals redirect the viewer from their smartphones to Instagram Reels. By bouncing between the physical screen and the digital device, the viewer is drawn deep into an interactive rabbit hole. Ultimately, through the platform's 'Share' button, the viewer ceases to be passive observers; they become active distributors of the myth, spreading the algorithmic hallucination into the broader cultural consciousness.
