Wounds & Membranes

What does the hero weep for, born upon a scrapyard of starships, from atoms that once formed the first settlers of distant galaxies? He weeps for that which has no name in the language of men, as he confronts a primordial force greater than himself. These are unseen membranes - as the river of life passes through them, its flow begins to change.
