VOXAIPE – Decoded

VOXAIPE is an AI typography tool that converts spoken voice into dynamic letterforms in real time. The system analyzes vocal qualities and translates them into typographic variables. Each spoken word generates unique typography that shifts and adapts as the voice changes, creating a visual representation of sound beyond literal meaning. This project explores how machines understand vocal expression. Rather than programming fixed rules, the AI is allowed to develop its own methods for converting voice to typography. To examine this human-machine interaction, "Decoded" was created, a 228-page artist book documenting a conversation between a speaker and the AI. The book captures both the AI's interpretation of the human voice and the human response to being translated by the machine. (in production)
