Video manipulation "Reverse Colonial Search"

In the effort of reconstructing the journey of African ritualic statues to a private century old sauna in Finland, video uses AI manipulation to offer a physical continuity ( a narrative thread) to the photography of the archetypal couple. Closeness becomes affectional, and the gesture of hugging - though machine generated - profoundly human. The video has been used in the AV installation in the place where the artefacts were found. "Reverse Colonial Search" explores the relation of "modern Western civilization" to spirituality and rituals, in the context of objects migration, by following their tracks in Scandinavia.
